Trek Route
The initiation point for Round Annapurna Trek is Besishahar. As the trek takes you around the whole Annapurna region, we start Annapurna Round Trek with a drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar. Upon completion of Around Annapurna Trek, we drive from Nayapul to Pokhara and take tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Once we reach Besishahar, we start walking all the way to our destination. This is also a complete overland tour and involves no flights. Our Trekking Group
The trekking group to Round Annapurna Trek depends on the number of persons. Normally, we take in 1-10 persons in a group. However, if you are in a bigger group of more than 10 persons, we can manage the Annapurna Round Trekking accordingly. The maximum number '10' is the outcome of generally organized group treks. But, we are good at organizing treks for any group size you require.
Besides the trekking group, we have our local staffs to assist you as well. Trekking does not just mean traveling around; it will be more rewarding if you can gain good bunch of information of the areas you travel. So, we provide you with guides for that and in order to assure easy travel experience, we have porters who would carry on your luggage. We will facilitate you with 1 porter for 2 persons, 1 porter carrying maximum of 20 kg weight

For trekking group of 1 to 5 people, we provide – 1 Guide and Porter (2 trekkers: 1 porter).
For trekking group of more than 5 people, we provide – 1 Guide, 1 Assistant Guide and Porter (2 trekkers: 1 porter)
Accomodation and Meals
Our overnight stay would be on Tea houses and Guest Houses during Annapurna Round Trekking. Twin sharing comfortable beds and common bathroom will be provided. The place is clean and hygienic. However, if you require a single supplement accommodation, it can also be made available on request at an additional cost of US$ 200. But still you need to be aware that single supplement accommodation may not be available at all the places during your Round Annapurna Trek.
Our Around Annapurna Trek would let you experience typical Nepali food, special mountain foods and other cuisines including international cuisine like Indian, Tibetan, Italian, and Continental. You can always make your choices from the food menu available there. We will have breakfast and dinner at tea house/guest house whereas we will have lunch on our way.
While in Kathmandu and Pokhara, your accommodation is at tourist standard hotels facilitated with Attached Bath, A/C, 24 hours running hot/cold shower, Internet service and others. The facilities provided here is of 2 to 3 star standard hotel. We offer welcome dinner, farewell dinner and breakfasts during your stay in Kathmandu. Other meals as well as your other personal expenses will be from your own pocket during your stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Full board meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea/Coffee) are included during Annapurna Round Trekking once you leave move ahead from Kathmandu.
Transportation
The means of transportation are private vehicles and tourist bus. Pick up and drop from airport to hotel, and hotel to airport will be done by the vehicles of Imperial Nepal Treks. Also, we will be driving from Kathmandu to Besishahar by a private vehicle.
Our Annapurna Round trekking will start with a drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar. From Besishahar, we will walk all the way to our destination. Upon reaching Nayapul while returning, we drive to Pokhara. We travel back to Kathmandu by taking a tourist bus from Pokhara early morning.
Safety and Precaution
It is necessary that you take in good precaution during your travel to avoid any difficulties in your Round Annapurna Trek. As the Annapurna Round Trekking leads to higher altitude range, you need some trustworthy, experienced, qualified and well-equipped people around you. Your safety is assured by the local trek guide and other staffs.
Since these hikes take you on the remote Himalayan region, it is very essential that you are accompanied with the very experienced, qualified and well-equipped leader such that your trek runs safe and successful one. The guides of Imperial Nepal Treks are trained and licensed from Nepal Government, certified from TAAN and Nepal Mountaineering Association with experience over 8 years. Health Issues
Regarding health issues, we are well aware that you are likely to get Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Going up high at faster pace is too harmful and can be fatal as well because of less oxygen. Some general symptoms of AMS are
- Difficulty sleeping
- Dizziness or light-headedness
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea or vomiting
- Rapid pulse (heart rate)
- Shortness of breath with exertion
Due to this, we need good time to adapt in the current environment and thus we have planned our itineraries in such a way that we get enough time for acclimatization to ensure your health safety.
A good planning for Around Annapurna Trek is a must to minimize the health risks with problems like AMS. And if you are a patient of heart, lungs or blood disease, it is very important that you consult with your doctors and familiarize yourself with the remedies for the diseases before attempting Round Annapurna Trek.

With your arrival at the airport, we will be standing by to pick you up. This day will be your rest day and preparation day as well for the further days to come.
Imperial Nepal Treks arranges an entire day city visit around Kathmandu Valley. The point behind is to give you a chance to have the know-how of the Kathmandu city, the city of landmarks, sanctuaries and religious communities, for example, Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath, and numerous others. We will give you recreation time to rest and readiness for conclusive takeoff that is planned for the following day.
And after the day tour, we will be moving to a typical Nepali Resturant for Nepali food with live music.
From Kathmandu drive takes about 8 hours to Besisahar, overnight at Besisahar.
At the place of Besisahar, the trail drops to a stream on a rough rock staircase to Bhalam Khola. After crossing it the trail leads several up and down, crosses rice paddies and subtropical forests through the place of Khudi, Bhulbhule, Ngadi and reaches Bahundanda. Walking time takes about 6 hours, overnight at Hotel in Bandana.
From the Bahundanda, the trail descends on a step after passing several villages such as Lili Bir, Kaigoun, Ghermu point, the trail drops to cross the Marsyandi river and through Jagat reaches Chamje. Total walking time takes about 6 hours, overnight at Change
From Chamje crossing the Marsyandi River to the east bank and follows the trail along the river embankment. After that, the trail passes under an overhanging rock and climbs a rock staircase. It passes several villages such as Tal Besi, Tal Karte and reaches Dharapani. Walking time takes about 5 hours, overnight at Bagarchhap.
At the place of Dharapani, the route crosses several landslides and leads uphill through the forest. It passes the other places along Lattemarang, Kotho and coming to Chame. Walking time takes 6 hours, overnight at Chame.
From Chame, trekking trail leads continuously through the bank of Marsyandi River. It passes Bharatang and comes Pisang. Walking time takes about 5 hours, overnight at passing.
From Pisang, one can follow the very soft trail to Manang through the place of Hongdae, Mungji, Bryaga and reaches Manag. Walking time takes about 4 hours, overnight at Manang.
The seventh day of the trek is an acclimatization day. Being active is the right way to adapt to the higher altitude and thinning air rather than laying low. Therefore, to aid acclimatization, wither take a short hike to the ridge nearby Gangapurna glacier or walk up to the cave above Manang village. The remaining time will be utilized walking the villages appreciating the beauty of the village, native people, and their culture. We take all the measures required to acclimatize before heading the higher altitude. The night will be spent at a lodge in Manang.
At the place of Manag trail leads continuously ascending to Letdar through several places such as Tergi, Gunsang, Yak Kharka and one can enter to Letdar. Walking time takes approximately 5 hours, overnight at Lader.
From Letdar, the mountain path leads continuously to climb along the east bank of the Jarjung Khola, after crossing a wooden bridge. The path makes a short ascent and comes to Throng Phedi. Walking time takes about 3 hours, overnight at Throng Phedi.
The trail is steep immediately after leaving Thrungphedi, continuously through the high camp cross-moraines up to pass (Thorung La). Thorung La, with its traditional, current, prayer flag and stone cairn, are at an elevation of 5416m. After Thorung La trail leads all the way of descending to Muktinath (3800m). Walking time takes about 8 hours, overnight at Muktinath.
The tenth day of the trek, the trail takes a downward direction towards the Kaligandaki Valley through the bank of the holy Kali Gandaki River and finally towards windy valley - Jomsom. The trail then heads towards Marpha, a village development committee in the Mustang district and the apple capital of the nation. The night is spent at a lodge in Marpha.
From Marpha trail leads easy path through the bank of Kali Gandaki River to Kalopani. After there, trail descending through the place of Lete village and enter to Ghasa. Walking time takes about 6 hrs, overnight at Ghasa.
From Ghasa, Mountain trail leads almost descending to beautiful waterfalls of Rupsachhara. After that, it passes several villages reaches Tatopani. , Walking time takes approximately 5 hours, overnight at camp.
At the place of Tatopani, after a short walk, one can crosses Kali Gandaki River Bridge. From there the trail leads climbing very steeply on the stone staircase. The climb continues steeply to the large village of Ghara, Shikha, and finally, through the Rhododendron forest reaches Ghorepani. Walking time takes about 8 hours, overnight at Ghorepani.
Last day of the trek and our first destination is Poonhill for the best view of the sunrise and our second destination is Pokhara. Today we wake up earlier than the usual trek day, as the motive of the day is to enjoy the view of the first ray of the sun. About an hour walk uphill will take us to the top of Poon Hill, also known as photographer’s Paradise where you will be greeted with the first ray of the sun hitting the summit of the snowcapped peaks. After spending some time taking pictures and enjoying the view we track back to the lodge at Ghorepani have breakfast and move towards Nayapul which brings you to the end of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. From Nayapul we take a tourist standard bus that will bring us to Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara, you can either hang around in the lakeside or spend some quality time alone or enjoy your time with the rest of the crew members. The night will be spent at a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.
Today, from Pokhara we catch a tourist standard bus to Kathmandu. Leaving Pokhara we head east toward the capital city, Kathmandu. After 7 hours of drive all the way through Prithvi Highway, we reach Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu you will be escorted to your hotel, where you can freshen up and rest for some time. Around the evening, the company representatives conduct a short meeting to discuss the trip, your experience, and the feedback. By the time dinner will also be ready. The night will be spent at a tourist standard hotel in Kathmandu.

(The usual day for a trek: Every day, our guides will come to wake you up at around 7:00-7:30 am. In case of special days like sunrise viewing days, our guides will wake you up early in the morning at around 4-4:30 am. A western breakfast like porridge, oats, toasts, etc. will be served at around 8:00-8:30 am. The lunch will be served from a teahouse menu at about 12-1pm. However, the lunchtime can also be postponed on request. The dinner will be served at around 8:30-9:00 pm. Your accommodation is arranged at a lodge or also in a tourist standard hotel (subject to availability) where we stop for overnight.
While you are walking, you can also request your guide to slow down and stop at the places where you want to take some snaps. After dinner and before going to bed your team leader will brief you regarding the next day’s schedule.)
